What was your worst present ever?

December 2010 saw a special comp running to celebrate Remolition’s 3^rd Birthday, and xmas too! There were 3 unique Rem goody bags featuring exclusive all-original Decreate artworks (including December's cover image), BFC DVD’s, stickers, postcards and any other stuff we’ve had lying around, all up for grabs for telling us… what was your worst birthday or xmas gift present ever??!

Kicking off, here's some of the entries closely missing the original artwork but still getting a dvd & stickers!

“what was my worst birthday present? I guess it was my 18th Birthday, i got a "youth book" with lots of silly articles about horses and other curious things, but its okay it was a present from my granny “ Phillip Heinle, Germany

“I was heading off to uni in a few months, so my gran, being the helpful woman that she is, decided it would be useful to get me a tray, a mug and a saucer.... only problem was that they were bright pink and covered in flowers and cupcakes... great first impression at Uni that would have made! - what was she thinking!?” Callum Beamish, Southampton

“Once I was super excited for my birthday because I thought i was getting a new mountain board, i noticed an order from ground industries maybe it was an email cant really remember but it made me certain i was getting a new board. So, deciding on 3 winners was tough, we genuinely found it hard to pick 3 to receive the original signed artworks...

Drumroll  please...

Firstly, Short & sweet with a very sour aftertaste, getting a full rem goody bag for the lingering childhood trauma!

Second is a darkly tragic birthday tale rewarded with some mountainboard-shit therapy!
“My worst birthday present ever was 2 years ago: my girlfriend broke up with me & she started dating my best friend, 3 hours later my wallet got robbed, and that night i was in a bar and got into a fight with 2 guys. This was my worst birthday ever!” Unlucky then but lucky now, Justin Simonis from The Netherlands.

Thirdly, A lame present received and revealing himself as the crappest ever present-giver too!
“My worst ever birthday present i think would probably be a round dice. That was pretty useless :) But the worst one I’ve given is definately free DVDs, apparently that doesn't count? :P ” Nice one cheeky boy Jasper James from Derbyshire ;)

Cheers guys. And, fyi, my worse present ever is between Cliff Richard’s ‘Wired for Sound’ on vinyl: opened christmas day 1981 (from dad and actually meant for my mum), or the gift of a broken arm I gave myself snowboarding on xmas day in 2002… ;)
